2020 Chenin Blanc

Our first Vintage of Chenin Blanc from our Swoope vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley, we are elated to share this wine with Virginia! A rare grape to find growing in the state, these vines were planted in the spring of 2018 and bringing this wine to bottle has been 5 years in the making. Fermented and aged exclusively in large format French Oak puncheons, this wine brings out the beauty of bright fruit characteristics, a rounded full bodied texture refreshed with acidity and a distinct Chenin Blanc aromatic profile. The fact that the wine is presenting itself as a true to form Chenin reminiscent of the Loire Valley, we could not be more excited.
